What's the chance of bumping into Ausin Vince of Mondo Enduro fame in the middle of no-where!! awesome.

Fairly high if it's arranged!;)

I've got one too by the way.:beerjug:

Mods so far: all TT... side stand extender/foot thingy, headlight protector, biiger sump guard, handguards, and large rear rack just arrived due to be fitted. More will follow. Has anybody got an after market can fitted? I'm considering it for weight saving, plus I do like a nice note from a can. Nothing rude tho, as green-laning I wouldn't want to upset the stick shakers:rob

What I will never get my head around tho is how the Vinces' (Austin and Gerald) both mange to stay clean regardless to what they ride through:nenau

Honestly, and i'm sure this can be backed up...I have seen Austin minutes after picking riding his bike through at least a foot deep mud and his coveralls were spotless  Just look at Kevs' photo judging by the direction of the bikes, they have just ridden through the stream, granted not very deep but Kev's boots look wet and Austins gutties and covvies look bone dry.

does it make any difference to performance?

Kev.

Well, i THINK i feel a better performance in the middle range?
But it could very well be that it feels quicker because of the noise :nenau
Need to see some Dyno charts before i make up my mind...
I allso have the Touratech air filter by the way.

As Daithi says, I'm one too ;)

Me.

Collected this from Bradford yesterday.

10 months old and 54 miles. The guy who bought it spent close to £500 with Touratech and a week after taking delivery fell off his other bike breaking his leg. He decided not to risk any more off roading and chopped it in.

It has Acerbis handguards, TT sump guard, rear rack, side stand plate, headlight guard, adjustable gear lever, brake pedal, chain guard/guide.
This morning the ugly BMW front mudguards been changed, mirrors taken off and just need the tail tidy to get rid of the stupid back bit.
Monday it has some Pirrelli MT21's fitted.

Not sure how long I'll have it, years or months but got a bit tired of the 1150 and just fancied a change for a while.

Just needs to get dirty now :)

Congrats Trippy !

Looks very "UNUSED" Trippy. :thumb2

Well wear lad. :thumb

First time out on the bike this afternoon for a couple of hours.
Think my shoulders and back may take a little while to get used to the bike as it's very different ride to the 1150!

I find the xchallenge tends to glide over most things, where as the 1150 just crashes it's way through!!

Just looking at the TT bashplate, doe's it come out to offer some protection for the gear lever?

I've swopped the standard XC lever on mine for a steel GS lever, incase it gets caught up, but riding through some deep ruts last sunday the lever still ended up bent around and under the footpeg twice

Does the TT front mudgaurd have the air vents in it for the radiator?

i find all the vents do in the standard fender is allow the front of the rad to fill with mud

Rear air shock wear

Well had the rear wheel off today for a new tyre. Despite "packing out"the inner mudflap the rubbing mark on y rear shock is getting worst. Despite sending photos to BMW head office last October - still no response! So camera out and more photos I think. This now needs attension/replacement when it goes in for it annual serice in Sept. Keep an eye on your rear air shock guys. If this is news to you, search ADV rider for lots of threads on the subject.
