Hi, BKKBarry do you get up to Chiang Mai much? Got my 1200GS up there, best roads in Thailand too!

Hi,

Today I paid $0.95 Canadian dollars (95 cents) a litre for gas in Vancouver Canada. 17 dollars to fill my tank up.

Last week I was in the province of Alberta, which has a lot of Oil, and it was $0.98 Canadian dollars.

Gas prices in Vancouver go up and down like the Pork Belly futures on the Stock Market. :(

Hi Scotty, I just finished 3800 KM in 9 days on my GS and visited every province in the north as well as Issan. My goal is to visit all 76 provinces. I love riding everywhere in Thailand except for Bangkok!

Hi BKKBarry,

Sounds like good fun, have been around most of Thailand myself on various bikes, actually did a tour of Issan on an MTX 125 about 14 years ago!

Am working in Saudi at the moment, but will be in Chiang Mai in January, so if you fancy a trip up North let me know.

Poured in 19.02liters (5 UK gallons) of 97octane unleaded costing R100.05 (9 GBP approx)
Full tank will last (near sea level) between 330km (206miles) and 400km (250miles) depending on my throttle fist.

So UK gets the prize so far for the most expensive gas (Marco I think you got your €/£ conversion wrong). Typical. We've probably got the most expensive beer as well.

20L (95 unlead) costs here around 17.00 Eur, 1L~0.86 Eur...

Glass of beer (0.5L) - less than 1 Eur :D

Wellcome to Lithuania (for beer I ment) ;)

Checklist for 2006 holiday:

Green card for Lithuania.
Some money.
Raging thirst.
