How much is too much ? Alps and Pyrenees ?

Just doing some research for the honeymoon next year, this was a good thread! We have roughly planned to Autotrain the bike to Bordeaux

Has that service restarted? When I tried to book earlier this year, I was told it wasn't running any more.

Yeah, spoke to the voyage sfc company a few weeks ago, they didn't mention and issues...

used the auto train a few times down to south of france without issue, not been to Bordeaux on it though. We went from Paris to avignon a couple of times and Paris to Niece. A few words of advice if going this way, your bike goes on a separate train to yourselves, you put the bike on the train at Paris Bercy station and you get the passenger train from Gar de lyon station about 1Km away, just a short stroll. when booking your tickets for the TGV passenger train, they release the tickets 3 month in advance get them as soon as released, the same day if possible it will save you a fortune, prices for tickets for 2 this year one way cost 42 Euro a day later they were 65 euro, and a week later were 112 euro, and after that were 165 euro. If anyone needs more info pm me, and i will try to help.

Thanks mate, we have done a bit of research, going to drop the bike off at the earliest time on day one and get passenger train down to Bordeaux and meet friends then pick up the bike the next day. Will be booking the auto train the maximum 6 months in advance and the foot train 3 months...
