How much to respray?

I am thinking of selling my F650 Rallye.


Yep it was Chris Emersons before the thread increases in size asking the same question!!

Does anyone know who much it is likely to cost for a respray?

Hi Paul

For my TT39 I paid around 2.500 Dkr (approx. 230£) for a professionel paint job. This included painting of the rally tanks, cover between the tanks, side panels and front fender.

A couple of years and scratches later, I re-sprayed the tanks myself with Motip spray cans. It took some weekends with lots of preparations but the result was almost as good as the prof job.

It´s a lot of work if you do it all by yourself but it can be done. Another solution could be that you sanded down all the parts yourself and had the paint job done by a pro. This should reduce the costs a lot, since the hardest job lies in the preparations.

Actually I´m thinking of painting my "new" R80G/S and luckilly this involves only the tank and maybe the head light housing
