Having just purchased a new 660 I will be selling my 2820 - I haven't a clue how much to ask for it so I would be pleased to know if anyone has bought one recently or could give me an idea of what to sell it for so I can put it in the 'For sale or Wanted' section.

Cheers Tony

PS. The only bit that wouldn't be supplied is the bike wiring as that was ruined when the 660 was fitted (Actual mount is included though)

I'd be very interested to takes this off your hands if you're selling.
Give me a shout with your price.

Cheers

Hi Anthony, yes will do with pleasure - I am just figuring out an appropriate price. Of course, by all means pm me in the meantime if you wish to make an offer.

Cheers Tony

How recent is the mapping? I got my 2720 for £155 of eBay with recent mapping and various accessories (GTM10 Traffic receiver, Garmin remote antenna, Brodit car mount) all in pristine condition. That was, if I recall correctly, 2 years ago though but it was something of a bargain at the time IMHO.

I would reckon about £150 to £175 (with 2010 mapping) would be realistic for a good condition 2820 with all the bits it came with. Seller must be willing to de-register and confirm the sale to Garmin if requested.

Thanks Bumpkin, I bought the unit in 08 and that Mapsource disc is included (although the mapping on the unit is now 09) I believe everything other than the battery to unit wiring is included i.e. Remote, actual mount etc and is still in the original box with the orange slip! - it has been a pleasure to use for my annual European bike ventures and weekends away - it has taken a bit of push for me to change to the 660 bearing in mind how good the 2820 has been! I have sold my Quest 1 and Quest 2 in the past so I am aware of the requirement to de-register the unit with Garmin - In view of what you have advised I think I will work on £150 as being a suitable price. Thanks for your advice....Tony
