I am selling my R1150Gs to a work mate . He has a 2001 Dakar black / white in OK condition with only 6800 miles registered ( Genuine) which I am willing to take as a trade in . I am not sure how much these are worth . Any ideas ?

Already tried the Parker guide . They only list the Dakar from 2003 .

I just bought an 01 gs 650 8200mls with a bent front end. Paid £1100 Spent another £500. But I recond it to be worth about £2300-£2500.
Having said that I saw a 650gs with 44000mls sold with buy-it-now on eBay for £1750 If I'd had the spare cash I'd have snapped it up.
Try a dealer. Tell him you have a dakar as you've mentioned and that your looking fot an 1150 as you currently have and ask hin what he'd give you trad-in
then make a judgment from there.Good luck, 650's are great 'love them' but you'll miss the power and shear size of the 1150. I'm spoilt, we have one of each

. I have looked at trade papers and reckon it' worth about £2800.00 or €4300.00 .One on e-bay sold for £2850.0 just last week .

has it got history and any factory recalls done?
with that low mileage it may have surging/ ecu issues?

trade in reckon they would give you 1500 as it is "old".depends on what you reckon as ok cond? sell for £2-2500?

I think I will probably hold on to it . Very low mileage and pretty clean condition, the previous owner never went off road. He bought it just before the wife told him he was to be a Daddy and didn't get much chance to use it after that .
