Erm......so seriously, what is the point of a bike that cannot go around a corner?
I'm not on an anti-Harley rider thing here, and H, I'm not having a pop at youbut I truly, honestly don't get it
No offense taken Bill, you are welcome to ask questions. The truth is that they don't go, don't brake and handle quite poorly. They are expensive, thirsty and not very well built. For virtually any purpose or journey there are plenty of other motorcycles that will do the job faster, more easily, more cheaply, more reliably, safer and carry more luggage / people. The styling pretty much stopped around 1955 and they've either got a lot more ugly since or spent their entire time trying to build something that looks half as good as the original.
Having then bought a really terrible motorcycle most owners proceed to spend a lot of money adding things that it doesn't need, painting it a colour only the owner will like, 'tuning' it for more noise and a proportionate reduction in performance or just trying to make it look more like the model they wished they'd bought. Alternatively some just spend a lot of time junking half the bike they bought in the first place.
That's why I love mine, it's shit

I hadn't noticed many HD riders being very tech based though, and surely the main complaint that the anti Apple crew allege is the lack of ability to customise their products. Completely the opposite of the HD owning mentality. I think you are just trying to herd all the people you don't like into one crowd
Any Bike will handle, at least reasonably - in the right hands.

It looked to me, like he was leaned over so much that his pegs started to relieve the pressure of his tyres on the road?
The angle of lean to get round a corner at a certain speed doesn't seem to depend upon open or closed throttle - only on speed and tightness of bend?
I think he simply thought that a cruiser could take the bend the same as a sportsbike?

I rode a 2008 superglide when they first came out. It held a line beautifully, took some effort to get it over in the first place but once it was there it felt like nothing was going to throw it off line. Very satisfying.
Dave Nimrod lent me his Harley for an evening earlier this year. I really enjoyed it so much so that as soon as I finish my current airhead project I'll be buying a Harley.

Not a good ending but you can imagine their frustration, probably waited for months to ride that road only to get stuck behind an RV doing 20MPH.

I hadnt realised i was doing a Hitler as i just noticed it featured in VisorDown
The relevance being it was a bagger and thats a Hog as far as I know. (I used to own a Glide and ive nothing against them at all). It wasnt a dig aimed at Hog Riders but just to highlight how dodgy some people's cornering is - not a dig at anyone so take a chill pill dude
