hi all,
well the dark nights are soon to be upon us and i was wondering if anyone has any tips for getting a better headlight beam on my 1150 i do not have enough money for a hd conversion this year so whats the most cost effective way to improve my lighting, particularly the low beam? any ideas
thank cral

Book a week on the sick, get lots of food and drink, then do a Forum Search for lighting.......see you in a year or so................. ;)

Cheapest option is to adjust the dipped beam so that it is not handed, but equal angle either side. If set up correctly :tosser the majority of the light aims to the left, with a small horizontal section. Go round a bend at night on dip and  Also suggest uprate the bulbs to the brighter ones avalable at Halfords, I.e. Xenon, these are not the pukka Hiroshima type, but are a little better than the standard fitment. Remember that the beam heights are adjustable separately, so find a dark road and set them up.
Not tried them but Nippy Norman sells PIA bulbs at £30 each  meant to be good, but a £30 bulb :nono

Let me know how you get on.

Currently I am buying the necessary bits to go the Hella route, but it soon mounts up.
