Hi
Another request for help please
I've just received my update disc from Garmin in order to update my Quest1 from City Select Europe v6 to City Navigator Europe v8.
I've loaded it onto my PC with no problems.
I now need to get an un-lock code and this is where I'm stumped.
I have registered the Quest and created an 'account' on the Garmin web site but, wether I go via the 'unlock wizard' on my PC or direct to the Garmin web site, I can only get so far in the process of obtaining an un-lock cde and that is where it asks for the registration code which is on the 'yellow card' that should be included in all the units paper work.
I bought my unit 2nd hand and have never had said 'yellow card' but it wasn't needed to unlock the original v6 info - for this my PC just grabed the info it needed from the Quest.
Is anybody able to explain to me how I can obtain an un-lock code so that I can try and get it sorted over the w/e - if not I'll give Garmin a buzz on Monday and work out what is going on.
Cheers
Andres
