How to shove F800GS through a narrow passage?

Got an unusual issue, but guess others might have faced similar problem. We are about to buy a terraced house which has only access to the back garden whe is a shed for my bike via a narrow passage. The passage is ca 1m wide and my handlebar are ca 95 cm. I was thinking of getting one of those pedestals which I can put under the center stand which would allow easy manipulation with the bike in the narrow bit.
Does anyone have any experience with operating the bike in narrow spaces?
 
What about riding/paddling it?
 
I also think riding it in would be easier.Using a pedestal means you would have to stand along side the bike which makes the combined distance even bigger.You could also consider looking at Renthall bars which might be a tad slimmer.
 
Have a look to see if you can cut a bit off the bar ends 15mm either side will make a big difference, paddling/riding it through is easier.
 
Paddle it through as the bike will not fall over in such a tight space, the easier you make it to get in or out makes it more likely to be taken by the local scrotes.
 
Also, the doorway can be narrower than your bar width.. but not narrower than any other part of the bike.

As you go through, a bit of twist and lean allows the bars through an amazingly narrow doorway.

what you worrying about :blagblah you have an inch either side just ride it. After the first few times you have not got it sussed get an inch taken off each side of your bars :thumb2 My old KLX650 was IIRC 31inches and the gap was 30 yes I did trim the bars only by an inch each side and I used to drag one side down the wall at first but once I got used to it it was ok and used to ride feet up through the alley way :blagblah wear an old jacket and use your shoulder on the wall if you are going to topple over :thumb saves your paint etc. get it sussed and it will do your filtering skills no end of good :hide
 
I used to have the same with an old GSXR and the access to a flat I used to live in, and it was tight (about 10mm each side) I used to ride the clutch and paddle it through. Racing leathers with knee sliders helped also.:D
 
Realistically the passageway is too narrow for the bike. You will soon tire of going through it and scraping the bike. Is this REALLY a house suitable for your needs ?. I think not, and i speak from ancient but bitter experience.

Nonsence :blagblah where there is a will there is a way afterall the passage way is wider than the bike :rob

are you trying to get him to sell you his house :rob
 
I used to have to do this with a Suzuki GSX600F, ride down the passageway, lean the bike again the wall, lift the rear of the bike round to get it through the gate (end of the passage was two gates at 45 degrees, one for each house who shared the passage). Yep I scraped it a couple of times, but the bike was never going to fall over in the narrow passageway.

I guess it depends on how nice you want to keep your bike.
 
Wunderlich adjustable levers...they help me pass through a door 89 cm wide...the oem ones used to scrape a lot...plus I have the added comfort of adjustable grip distance :thumb
