The weather looked good this weekend- much better than forecast and having nothing much planned it was decided to go for a wee run on the bikes- us now being a two bike household
First stop was Argyll Motorcycle Training - Ian and Yvonne were doing CBT's so we stopped by to say hello.
And have a wee shottie round the bullseye... It pains me to report she was much better than me.
We did, of course, have to go the long way home via Loch Awe and Inverary....
All in all it was a nice wee day out on the bikes- if a tad chilly towards the end of the day as it was getting dark by the time we got home. We washed all the crap off the bikes and tucked them up in the garage then cleared off down the pub for a warming drink.
Or two
Today dawned with an even better forecast so after we'd finished doing some work on the storm damage to the boat we felt we needed and deserved a wee treat so off we went on the bikes again.
First stop was the garage for fuel and Fruitackes first bike repair- thought Hondas were meant to be reliable?
Word had gotten out that Cafe Azzuro in Tarbert served a mean bacon and blue cheese pannini so the route was decided.
The bikes enjoyed the view while we stuffed our faces- very nice it was too...
The decision was to take the Kilberry Road home- 20 odd miles of single track with some fine views- this is of Fruitcakes new helmet. And the Paps of Jura.
She then decided to try to try and order a beer at the Craighouse Hotel by semaphore - not sure the message got through...
Still feeling the cold even after the semaphore episode she tucked in close to try and get out of the chill breeze while we headed off to the strange stones.
...and the strange people looking at them.
Why would you want to gather headstones from graves from around Argyll and then put them on display in the middle of nowhere? 'Suppose you've got to have a hobby...
Then again why would you go driving around the cold, wet country side on a motorbike then spend ages with a hose, bucket and sponge cleaning all the crap off them afterwards??
BTW- I know we've got reg numbers in the photos...WTF?
