Can anyone help please?

I've bought a Puxing 777 radio that I want to use to talk to an Alan radio but can't make head or tails of the instructions.

I 'simply' need to know how to tune into and what frequenct to use for a couple of frequencys that are used on the Alan radio

Any help at all would be appreciated

Cheers

Ha ha. The instructions are mince.

Best bet is to do a search on google. There are a few good write ups and youtube vids on how to set them up.

You program them rather than tune them. It's easier with a pc and the correct leads but can be done using the key pad. It's a bit of a carry on though.

Afraid I can't help you with frequencies as I don't know what (or who) Alan is.

But be aware there are several flavours of 777. The main difference is UHF or VHF. You need the right one.

Drop me a PM if you want more info.

If you draw a complete blank and we can figure out the right frequencies, you could post it to me, i'll program it and fire it back to you.
Won't need the battery or antennae so won't weigh (cost) much for postage.

It's a piece of piss with the right leads and software and once done - it's done.

I'll have a go at tuning them in.

If you scroll to page 20 of the Kenwood TK3201 radio manual there's a table of the 16 frequency and CTCSS tone combinations set by default on Kenwood PMR radios. Handy to program these in and name them appropriately. You'll then be ready when Kenwood equipped ridding buddies say use channel #6 or whatever.
