I have a very reliable printer..until I reloaded windows XP proffessional and now the pics I print are a pretty pink  I changed the printer ink cartridge but it's still the same. HP don't list a windows XP driver for my parallel port HP Deskjet 710C series printer...tried a website or two and the f**rs just tried to download lots advertising bumph:spitfire

Anyone ( I know it's a long shot ) know of a place to source a driver ? ( or know why the printer has gone pink ( it may well be the printer at the end of its useful lfe :( )

It's more likely to be the nozzles getting gummed up Kenny.....try putting some solvent through it by filling up an old cartridge with a syringe.....

(Try the driver first but if that fails, you've got nothing to lose)

Oooer.....check the programme first.....a lot of drivers have a 'clean' function ;)

Buy a new printer you tight git!

I've skipped better printers than a 710!!

:D

LOL - probably the best advice !!:D

I've had a self clean:ymca but that didn't work...the printer works fine with the XP driver...just doesn't do the colours anymore.

Thanks guys...I think it is time for a new printer...maybe next year though, mustn't rush my decision :)

eeerm - Don't HP carts have the print head jets in them.

so a new cart would fix it.

cheaper to buy a new printer tho :)
