UK again Pah!..
I see B*W do a set of pillion pegs as an option - has anyone tried them? I would never consider the HP2 as a European 2 week tourer :) but a Sunday mornings ride out with the wife might be fun.

The rear number plate bracket is not to my taste (I am being nice here!) I see TT do something but is there another alternative? In the past I have just slotted an Acerbis on, or attacked the original with a hacksaw, has anyone tried anything?

Cheers

I would imagine that the back end is plenty strong enough for the pillion, but I don't know anyone who has tried it.Mbw must be pretty confident to sell the pegs in the first place.

I've taken all the plastic crap off the back of mine, and just bent a bit of ally to mount the number plate on.I keep meaning to make a nice stainless steel one,but you know what it's like, plumbers always have leaky taps:D

Ah just spotted Pikeydave is flogging some pegs on fleabay so I have thrown a bid in. I am inclined to go down the simple bracket path as well, what did you do about the number plate light, use the existing or mount a new one?

Yes, the optional pegs are great - fit & remove in a few minutes, do the job fine, don't get in the way too much if left on.

As for the rear numberplate holder - just bin it, it is designed to un-plug and be removed for off-roading. Just make a little bracket to fit the numberplate to the original fixing holes under the rear light.

Makes the back of the bike look good but allows alot of crud to spray up onto your back off-road.

Cheers, Rick

ps. Would post pics but after paying "site Sponsorship" fees, not shown as such! Any Moderators listening?

My daughter (23) has ridden pillion just over 120miles and says its fine, likes the view:) .
Only issue was the hardness of the seat, can’t understand why, her own bike is a VFR 400.
