hpn german ebay

What about the history of the bike? Are the bikes Barry Sheene rode to his world championships any more valuable than similar bikes? Probably not, but would they sell for more? Almost certain they would.

That's a very different and more modern bike than Camille though

Better fork set-up and a R1100GS drivetrain with a vertical shock

It is more of a bike and much like Garry H's bikes

The German bike is better IMHO and one that would perform offroad in a more desirable way

Interesting that he changed to the later drivetrain for the upright shock but stuck with the original bevel box and drum brake....

Thats because it's cheaper and easier...
You can just bolt a standard r100/80gs rear wheel in
Disc brake is in a different league to the drum

\the two bikes cant really be compared, one is a modern up to date jobbie and the other a 1984 version. like comparing a modern jag with the original 60's model. the new cars are better but the original is more desirable and a better investment. I DO LIKE THE HPN THOUGH.

if they sold for more that would make them more valueable then

The value is what the metal etc is worth.

What they sell for is being built in a certain way and ridden by a certain person. That is not what they are worth, it is what soemone will pay for the provenance :blast

Any German could build a HPN special that would probably outperform any comparable bike from the 80's, but I don't see BM etc putting them in museums / displays, but the ex PD bikes are ;)
