Sorry to bore you all , gonna purchase a hugger , mud sling for its simplicity or a imberger carbon one , anyone with experience of either or both please comment, its going on a o8 gsa with standard shocks. thanks

Running a mudsling on an 09 GSA - previously on an 08 GS - both with ESA. Have just noticed some slight rubbing on the inside of the final drive finish so have trimmed a section off. Otherwise very happy with it.

Hi I had a imberger on my 04 gs which was great kept the muck of the bike and look's good (no good if off roading)!! Mudslinger on my 09 GSA does not keep the back end as clean and as I don't go off road wished I got another imberger. What is you bike I have the imberger in the garage, will not fit the 09.

I use the Wunderlich equivalent of NN's Mudsling and it is the biggest single improvement I've made. My left boot and trouser leg are no longer sprayed with mud every time it rains. Watch out for different versions for ESA or not and different years as the suspension seems to have varied a little.

I'll take that Imberger off your hands, please.

mud slinger ++++

fitted a mud slinger cost 90 quid thought a bit pricey at first, but excellent bit of kit on my 09 gs, great in rain & no probs, well recomended ++++:D

tr6 trophy..where you managed to find the mudsling for 90quids?? I have searched the whole internet and I cannot find cheaper than 110pounds...?????

Baron..if you ever thing to sell your mudsling..ask me...I am still searching for a mudsling...

BTW..the best for on road use is the Imberger but increases the suspended weight ....for off road is the Wunderlich one...but really close to it is the mudsling...

I have a Ilmburber on my 09 GSA. Been off road a few times with no problems. Mind you it wasn’t extremely muddy.:thumb

I got mine cheap off ebay. However, its made for fitment to the non ESA bikes, so my ESA protrusion has worn a small hole in the back of the hugger.:( Apart from that it performs brilliantly at keeping the crud off my rear end..:bow

I've got an Imberger fitted. Done 12k since April 08, no problems.
I also cut a sectioo out of the original rear shock guard and have that fitted as well :D

Recomend the imberger to, although expensive works, fits and looks great!:cool:

I'd go for the Ilmberger, mine is great. If you are running it on an ADV with the standard pannier rails then you might need to get the pannier rail brackets as well (contact Sandbar composites) as the standard BM ones stick out a bit and might foul the hugger when the bike is heavy.
