Up a hill in Somerset!
There is much talk about huggers lately but it seems the choice narrows down to two - Nippy Norman's and Motorrad Concepts.

The difference in price between them is approx £75.00!

What I would like to know is what do you get for your extra money with the MC Hugger that the NN one does not give?

I realise that many people speak highly of the MC unit but has anybody actually bought a NN one and if so what is it like?

Your opinions are eagerly awaited!

Andy

Go for the Ilmberger

I've been using the Ilmberger (Wunderlich) hugger for the last eight months or so and have had absolutely no complaints apart from the fact that it does'nt come quite far enough around to protect the lower shock attachment. However, it does provide enough protection to keep the pushrod clean. The hugger is very light and strong and is one of the best bits of carbon fibre I've seen, In fact it's a work of art. It's also extremely light and very strong and there is plenty of clearance all around the wheel, so no problems with clogging etc when used off road. I got mine from Sandbar Composites of Banbury and paid £165, which considering what you get is very reasonable. I hope you find the above comments helpfull.

I would agree the saldbar hugger is faultless, extreemly light, fits perfectly, superb carbon work . I dont know why people bother with the other products given the problems they seem to cause.

Had Motorad Hugger fitted since May NO PROBLEMS at all. Covers the rear shock unlike some. Can not fault it.

Huggers - which one?

Thanks for all the replies - much appreciated.

There is such a wealth of knowledge and information available on this site that I have been compelled to put my hand in my pocket :beerjug: and become a sponsor. This is a first for me and clearly puts this site ahead of the rest IMO.

Back to the hugger question, has anybody tried the Nippy Norman one yet? He must have sold some to members of this group so come on guys (and gals) - let me know your findings. Please!

I'm picking up the new 1200 on 3rd Sept and can't wait now!

I have one of Norman's on mine, but haven't been out in the rain since I fitted it! Went on no problem, seems to cover the areas it should. Slight rattle over bumps from where the edge contacts the inside of the swingarm, but I intend to cure that :)

Anyone got either of the Pyramid hugger's fitted? If so would you please post a picture,
Thanks

I reckon huggers on an all terrain bike are like enormous exhausts on a Clio. :ymca
