Hungary - Ferto Hansag National Park

Preparing for our Eastern European jaunt and came across Ferto Hansag National Park in Austria and Hungary. It apparently has the third largest freshwater lake in Europe. Garmin shows that there are roads through the park and Google shows nothing. Anyone been? If so can you drive bikes through the park? Many thanks.

You can drive to certain points - but mainly you explore the park on foot or bicycle... nice place though with impressive bird life. Used to live in Gyor and wandered down a few times.

Hows your route planning going? You coming through to Romania - Brasov? Get your Green card cover sorted out?

Thanks for the heads up. My question was more about the roads on the eastern side of the park but it looks like it will be smoother to go down the west side of the park given our destination is Heviz. Yes routes are mainly sorted with a few tweaks. Green card sorted thanks for asking. For £20 my Serbian friends and the insurance agent said it was a good idea. Unfortunately Romania will have to wait for another time.
