HUSQVARNA 901 2022

Congratulations, you will love it. Over 9k on mine, the only issue was the loosening of the head bearings.

Thanks, think I will

160 miles home in Bank Holiday traffic @ 50-60 mph it recorded 85mpg !!

En route was thinking it’s not as sumptuous as my old Africa Twin… and not as much ‘grunt’ as my R9T but it’s nice..Then the last ten miles was on local back roads ending with a mile on a gravel road. Then it made sense, absolutely flew and live wire handling.
Think it’ll be a blast

I hope so just put an order in for mine :)
You’ll love it. Great bike on road and trails. Horses for courses some will knock it. Feels lighter than it is. Economical and doesn’t need many add ons to make it “right”
Good luck with your new bike

I have ridden one a couple of times, quite like my 990 adv, which I am only selling as getting old and need cruise control, about same weight, about same bhp, way way way better mpg I can drop the 990 to 28 to the gallon, better suspension. about the only adds I want are pannier frames and a larger rear rack, oh and when I can afford it a rekluse clutch had one for the last 10 years and really missed it on the test rides, and possibly a decat pipe

Does anybody “need” cruise control - and what on earth has it got to do with age?

If you want a new bike because it’s nice and shiny, just buy it…
I do need cruise control. Use it in my van, car and bike. Knowing how the system works is a bonus, as it isn’t just an On/Off switch, and age reference is that of the bike and not his own. At least that is how i understood his comment.

40 plus years of bikes, rugby and Judo, arthritis in wrist, I could probably manage with just a fly by wire throttle however if I am selling what I have then buying something else, I am having it with cruise, makes 400 mile trips way more pleasant, at the moment 100-150 miles and its bloody painful

Yes, I really do need cruise control in the same way that I need a centre stand and heated grips. All the other crap, keyless ride, electronics suspension and shift cam you can keep thank you very much!

What’s so much different (better) with the 901 over the sister bike - 890Adv ???
not a lot, frame is slightly different, rake I think gives a slightly longer wheelbase, other than that a different suit of clothes, difference of 1l in the fuel tank apparently

Better screen too. 6’2” and no need for a screen extender

Only if you buy the Expedition…..….or add the Expedition screen like I did. The standard screen is too shor.
I removed the standard mirrors and replaced with the ugly double take mirrors. Improved buffeting more

Very much so. I saw the bike at the Scottish bike show two years ago. It looked the bees knees, form and function wise. However, I'm trying to down size/weight at the moment ... *sigh*
