I’m back!

Hi Phil, while you didnt have the best bike in the world what other bike did you cheat on the mighty GS with???

Not strictly true, the original Hayes brakes leaked and were swapped to Brembo, but once sorted, the Hayes brakes are actually slightly stronger.

My last one had Hayes brakes and they were awesome.
Not my experience with Hayes brakes

I swapped out my previous 1250GSA for a Harley Roadking and a twin cam 1200.

When I lost my double garage through divorce it seemed sensible to go back to one bike as I only have a single garage and I don’t like crowded garages.

Both the previous bikes were fabulous in different ways, but if I was to only have one, it had to be a GSA.

As I’m touring a lot hopefully, I chose a 1250 again, pooling the cash from both bikes to get the right one.

With 2 year warranty and Euro breakdown, it made sense to buy this one.

I always admired the capabilities of the 1250, but I was riding it too quickly (hence going to the older bikes) but I’ll just have to learn to slow down 😂

Nice to hear life’s good

The Brembos definitely have less initial ‘bite’ than the Hayes brakes based on my experience.

They’d are both very good, but my Hayes calipers definitely had more at the start of the lever travel.

Both brakes running stock brake pads.

Nice to see your name pop up again, I'd recently gone back to some of my early messages here and saw the dozens of messages going back and forth when I bought Beryl from you! Still regret selling her, but had no choice at the time.
