I brought my r80 by compleatly by chance i needed a inner tube for my Yamaha SR 500 ( i was a despatch rider in London from 1981-83) but was delivering to Aldershot and got a flat despatch riders worst fear, I found a bike breakers Bearnies bike breakers i think they stoped trading a few years back and ther she was with just 10.000 miles on the clock and not quite a year old a deposit was paid.
little did i know at the time that this bike was going to be with me for the next ten years and starting me on my Enduro riding carear and i am still riding them now. I will ad some photos of my R80 in action at Enduros as i have time and find out how to add them .
please feel free to comment and let me know what you think as i was told i was quite mad to be using a BMW in Enduro's back then.
sorry i think i shuld have put this post some where else. moderator can you move to another forum.

Welcome aboard Baja.

Sounds like you may have some interesting stories to tell. Pop into the Air head forum and introduce yourself. You'll find theres still plenty of the old g/s GS 's out there.

Val.
