for my NavIII, which the dealer (Vines) told me plugs in under the tank of my 1150,

I cant find out where, have I got the wrong cable?

I'm only going by what the set up is on my 1200, but I think they're the same.

If you look carefully at the headstock of your bike, mine was from the left hand side, you'll see an auxiliary power socket. It'll have a cap on it and on mine it was wrapped up into the binding of the loom, so you'll ave to look and have a poke about.

The cap is retained by a clip arrangement which you'll have to press on each side to release it from the socket.

Johnny Dangerously has posted some pictures on his thread here showing the position.

More like a confused dealer - a bog standard 1150GS has an aux power socket down by your left boot.
That looks like a cable that wires directly to your battery. The white plastic 'tube' on the end is the fuse.
Yes it can be routed under the tank but there isn't anything to plug into, unlike with the 1200GS like wot he said above.

HTH :)

thats the exact cable i am after for my 1200GS ;)

if it dont fit your 1150 :augie

i take it these cables for the Nav III fit the 2610 aswell seen as though they are virtually identical

The white bit is the actual connector. There is no fuse as the 1200's don't have any.:eek

If, as Twotter says, the socket is down by your boots, then it looks as if you've been given a 1200GS cable as it won't be long enough.

The cable for the Nav III splits in two, with one part going to power the cradle and its extra buttons and the other part going to the sat nav itself. Does the 2610 have a powered cradle?

slightly off topic I know but is the power plug the same for most of the streetpilots. I've got a SP III wired in at the moment and am thinking about upgrading (to a 2610 probably), it'd be great if I didn't have to fit new wiring.
