.... I have twin HIDs!
Finally got the lights BMW SHOULD have installed.
I know there have been lots of threads about this but I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to Les Wassall for making my night riding so much more enjoyable.
Fez & I took a trip up to Les's on Friday and both got the 50W kits fitted. What a huge difference!
The first thing I noticed (as Les said we would) was that cars just cleared out of our way filtering through a traffic jam on the motorway - I really felt much more visible which can only be a good thing. Les also fitted PIAA bulbs to my fogs which gave them a much whiter light and allowed me to angle them further down (I had angled them up to try to help with night lighting) so I can now leave them on during the day without annoying car drivers.
Tonight I've been out down some unlit country lanes and can see very much further down the road. We got the 6000K colour which is nice & white, without being too "blue" which I find slightly off putting.
If anyone is thinking about it my advice would be to just do it. Les is a top bloke who put up with our bad jokes and did a really neat installation (twice for me, but that's another story!). The kits would be easy enough to do yourself, but we opted for getting Les to do it as we were passing anyway and he's really slick at it.
Thanks also to PJ1200 who convinced us to get it done.
