I cannot download Files!

Help please?

Every time I try and download files from the net, my PC tells me that Microsoft has encountered problems downloading the file and has to close. I then get asked to send an error report (which I do) but this problem persists. What am I doing wrong please?

It's a common problem with Windows Internet Explorer.............

Rather than waste time trying to fix it, unless you have already done so, down load Mozilla Firefox and use that as your browser. it operates as a standalone pc program, and less prone to freeze.
