Hi GS Rich,
This is what I have been quoted. Like I said I'm new to all this so I'm trying to learn as I go along.
I just wanted to know would there be a slightly cheaper option. I'm just trying to be realistic with costs, after spending 10K for the bike
Apparently I would need the following parts for rider to passenger, Bike to bike and your Garmin Zumo 660 GPS with the SUPER PRO AUTOMATIC HUB:
1 x Kit SPA @ £300 (Complete rider to passenger intercom with Super Pro Auto hub unit, bike power lead and coiled headset leads) £50 Saving
1 x 192 @ £10 (Grey 5 pin Bike to bike socket for use on Super Pro Auto and PTT)
1 x 2388 @ £35 (Push To Talk switch (PTT) for use with Super Pro Auto. Allows choice of Voice activation and PTT as you ride and Private rider to
passenger conversation)
1 x 2312 @ £180 (Kenwood TK2301 Bike to Bike Radio CAN BE BIKE POWERED Comes with battery and charger)
1 x 2342 @ £ 48 ( Power and interface for Kenwood TK3201 Transceiver)
1 x 1314 @ £35 (Stereo Audio Cable for Zumo 660)
1 x 2223 @ £ 90 (Bluetooth dongle for Auper Pro Automatic to connect Zumo and Mobile Phone) If you don't need to use your phone through the Zumo you do not need this part
LABOUR @ £69 (For fitting bike and Helmets)
TOTAL: £767 inc VAT
The above would provide automatic music volume, Automatic VOX (meanig the sensitivity of the microphone will adjust as you ride), a front and rear music fader Bluetooth for your phone and Stereo GPS connection. It comes with a lead for your MP3 player as well
Would all this been hiden under the bike somewhere? I have seen pictures on the Autocom site riders using a tank bag, I don't want to do this. I would like a completely hidden unit, well as hidden as possible

a lot to ask I know.
The other slightly cheaper option would be:
The LOGIC hub setup:
1 x Kit L1 @ £160 (complete Rider only Kit with Logic Hub unit) £50 saving
1 x 2116 @ £35 (Complete Passenger headset)
2 x 2134 @ £20 (rider and passenger straight headset extension cables)
1 x 2427 @ £5 (Power Lead for Logic Kit L1)
1 x 192 @ £10 (Grey 5 pin Bike to bike socket for use on Logic Hub)
1 x 2388 @ £35 (Push To Talk switch (PTT) for use with Logic Hub. Allows choice of Voice activation and PTT as you ride and Private rider to
passenger conversation)
1 x 2312 @ £180 (Kenwood TK2301 Bike to Bike Radio CAN BE BIKE POWERED. Comes with battery and charger)
1 x 2342 @ £ 48 (Power and interface for Kenwood TK3201 Transceiver)
1 x 1314 @ £35 (Stereo Audio Cable for Zumo 660)
1 x 2217 @ £80 (Internal Bluetooth dongle for Logic Hub unit) If you don't need to use your phone through the Zumo you do not need this part.
Labour @ £69 (fitting bike and helmets)
TOTAL £677 inc VAT
The above would give everything I want but without Auto VOX or Music. These are Preset by the music system and the Autocom unit itself. The music volume is also equally faded between rider and passenger without a fader control.
They said I could go for a lower powered radio which cannot be bike powered and have less range, and If i went for these I could reduce either of the above prices by £166
What kind of range are we talking here? Is it worth going for the Kenwood TK2301, i will be travelling from Spain to Italy next year with the New Wife, it just might be good to run out of battery's some times
They have explained that the parts to remove from the above orders are 2312 and 2342. You I would need to add the following:
1 x 1401 @ £50 (Midland G7 Transceiver BATTERY OPERATED ONLY comes with battery and charger)
1 x 2375 @ £12 (Midland G7 Interface Cable)
Thanks in advance for your time.
