i stumbled upon this on ebay

I saw this last night and concluded someone is going to get a great deal.

Its somewhere in the UK lol, mail the seller, ask to see the bike :

Too cheap by far, showing a Norwich plate, nice drive though! Maybe the Mrs is selling without telling her husband!

remember, buyer beware. If it looks to good to be true, it probably is to good to be true. There is also no feedback, defo smells like a scam to me.

So, how is feedback obtained?

Bargain price + recently registered seller + zero feedback = SCAM.
Buyer beware.

Do enlighten me , if it was top dollar price but still a recently registered account with no feedback, would it still be a scam?

Feedback on ebay is a bit like your post count on here. If someone advertised the same bike on here with their first post, wouldn't you be a little suspicious?

Ebay feedback works well for me over 900 100% positive, I tend to get more money for similar items than people with low or negative feedback.

Plus, somewhere in the UK with no phone number, if it was my bike i would want as many ways of contacting me to buy as possible.

apart from that, looks good.

Less likely, but still possible :D

This has been on Ebuy several times. Same picture different location. I placed a bid on it several months ago, the seller was a young lady of foreign origins who wanted a large deposit via western union.
Stay clear.

I found a similar advert on MCN. The bike images were clearly in UK but advert said it was in Stuttgart. The other part of the scam is to use an escro company of their choosing.

I asked some genuine questions then offered cash on collection or eBay escro. They vanished. Que Surpise?

Many MANY of the bikes on Gumtree are scammers.

Most people know exactly what their bike is worth. Ask yourself why anyone would advertise their bike at half of it's true value.

The dead giveaway is that the bike is way under priced. Secondly the seller, and sometimes the bike as well, is not in the country.

If it looks too good to be true .........
