Tobers.
It seems you have 'the answer'. I just fitted a Givi screen to my 1150 GS yesterday. On high setting it takes the wind over my head and reduces the pressure on my shoulders but the buffetting is worse than standard at 80+ mph. On mid setting the buffetting is pretty much all gone but then the wind blast is on my head.
Would one of your meccano sets do the trick?
I work in Egham and live in Maidstone so Guildford is easy for me. What's the lead time for a black set?

Cheers Jim

just come back from 1100 miles of blasting down to, back from and around Normandy with many a mile spent crusining at and indicated 100mph (about 93mph in real money) and me tobinators work just great.

last time I did a smiliar stuff I ran an MRA in my view tobinators have the edge

Now!

Hi Jim,

Just got the latest batch back from the anodisers today. I had a batch of 20 done and there's only 3 left already - back orders etc.

I'm "working at home" tomorrow (Friday 29) - come on over.

Email me with your phone number etc and we'll sort it. tobers(at)stopthebuffeting.com.

Cheers

Spelling

Oh Roger - I'll have to give you some spelling lessons!

I gotta Tobinator !!

Well, I popped down to Andy Friday lunchtime, top bloke. Had the tobinator fitted in about 10 minutes, had a bit of a chat, and that was it. Simple.
Verdict. It does exactly what it says on the tin, no buffeting. Andy set it to his recommended setting for standard screen and it worked for the Givi.
I'm now fine tuning it to see if I can improve on the wind protection, but to be honest as it is now is perfectly OK. Much improved on original and Givi.
Highly recommended to anyone who's still not sure.

How was the track day Andy? Not too wet I hope. Thanks again for the excellent service.

Cheers Jim
:D :D :D

Cool

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the feedback. Glad its sorted you out. The track day was absolutely top thanks - no rain, 40 Aprilia RSVs there, and one of them had his brother along with a GS.

What a scream the GS was - he caned the thing so much, and kept slotting up the inside of unsuspecting people at every corner. It was the "novice" group so most of the folks weren't that fast, but blimey, he really gave it some stick. Very credible tyres afterwards, all slimey at the edges.
