I wonder if anyone else gets this feeling, but i have a new 2010 gsa which i love to ride, can probably ride better than any other bike, and theres been a few! then you park up next to something else and want it. yesterday i parked next to a tricolour ducati 1098s and insdtantly wanted one. my gsa then became big and ugly and my mind started overtime working out how much i could sell the gsa for. i know the ducati will be unrideable but i cant afford both. i need talking sense too!

Sense......................figure out how much you paid for your 2010 12GSA and how much it is worth now...................I would guess that difference is at least £1500, maybe £2000:blast

So go to the bank or building society tomorrow and withdraw that £1500-2000 in cash

Go home, go inside and get some matches

Go out into the garden with the matches and the bundle of cash

Strike a match and set fire to that £2000 cash bundle

Enough sense for you:rolleyes:

I'd say that if you have these 'tendencies' the worst thing you can do is buy a new bike :augie

Or to put it another way the depreciation (approx 2k) on your GS would buy you a nice (older) Ducati...

You should do it buy the Ducati ....

PS I will take the 2010 GSA off your hands at trade as I want 1

dont worry

Your not alone...:augie

As you know, i have the same problem, thats why i have had 10 bikes already this year.

Secret is not to buy new!

That way, you wont loose so much money.

Ducati is a very pretty bike, been looking at one near me, wheels and paint so nice you want to lick it.

However, after a few weeks there will be something else..

You, me, gadget and big den should just swop bikes every other week for a few weeks.

Just think of the money we would all save...

better still buy a nice 1150GSA and use the money you save for a big trip and a lifetime of memories:D:D:D:D:D

I agree with the memories bit, Its all too easy to become materialistic in life. Imagine forking out two or three hundred quid on a ticket for a Wimbledon final, maybe a particular concert, or a grand stand seat at Mugello before Rossi retires.... Not a lot of money really for something you'd remember that for the rest of yer days.

But..... I'd have an 1198 in my garage like a shot if I could afford it. (And a 690smc, ummmmmm, maybe a vincent black shadow.........)

I thought it was only me that was afflicted with these thoughts! HP2 would be very nice, tricolore good, K13S nb, Honda double clutch VFR could be fun etc. Perhaps Nick has the right idea, maybe we should set up swop shops or "friends romans countrymen, lend me your horsepower, if only for the next month".

we could be onto something here. perhaps we should lis our bikes and then swap for a couple of weeks at a time

well i got

one of these if i havnt sold it.....:augie

I think it's a bloke thing :augie

I'm exactly the same, but the difference for me is I know I can't afford it so my thoughts kind of end there. Unless I start dreaming about my 6 numbers coming up then I start planning all the bikes I'd have in my garage ;)

My 650 twin went in for a service last week, i had loan of the 2010 1200, never ridden anything bigger than my 650. Lovely bike, wondering what i'd get selling the 650 and buying a 2nd hand 1200.....

Anyone wanna buy a kidney, or swap for a 1200, its been preserved in Cider so must be in good nick :augie :D

I do exactly that with cars and bikes.

Costs a bleedin fortune but I can't kick the habit.

Even driving / riding home with my latest toy, I see something else that I want next..........

:blast

I certainly did!

Get thee behind me Satan:drool

Bike scheme

Why don't you all club together and rent them all out chuck your own bikes in and say £4k each and whatever in the garage you have for 1 month then back to the garage and you get 3 new bikes each year then rent the others out simples:blast
