iCloud Mac mail service

Anyone having problems with this today?

We're in Italy for a few days and since arriving here I can't access it. Keep getting the message 're-enter password for this account' on both the MacBook and the iPhone.

Wondered whether it was something to do with accessing from a non UK server but surely that's unlikely?

The italian Apple iCloud status says there has been a problem with "iCloud: Mail & Notes" (I don't use iCloud, so don't know) that affected some of the users.

I am not really sure if you are connecting to the closest server geographically (might be).

Thanks - that sets my mind at rest (a bit). I'm staying just south of Rome city and using a friend's wifi so i presume through an Italian server.
