The idle seems to hunt a fair bit - anything from 1150-1700 rpm, and sometimes doesn't come down when shut the throttle off. Just had it plugged in to a GS911 as suspected a throttle sensor, this seems to be fine as it reads 0% when its hunting on idle. I have had one go before and this is how it started.

Now suspect coils either primary or secondary - they seem to look OK (never replaced them so they are the original black plastic ones) - instead of getting a full set that would set me back a bob or two is there any way of testing which one could be going a bit duff either with or without a GS911??

If you have a GS911, what are your idle control valves doing? You can reset the stepper motors in case they have got out of sync.?
