For reasons not really known I was toying with doing this to my 1200 Adventurer.

The picture is from EZS sidecar website from the specials gallery. http://www.ezs-sidecar.com

Is this anybodies bike on here?

Some advice required - usual comments expected :hide got loads of questions to ask.

Cheers me dears

I'm soooooo sorry but it may have to be done :mmmm

For no other reason than it can be done and life on just two wheels at the moment is just boring.

WHAT ??? BORING ??? Sounds like you need a change of bike rather than add a 3rd wheel, it does look nice tho. I have never thought biking would ever be called boring. Try going faster, leaning lower, aiming for rabbitts !!

I'd concider doing a BMW off-road course to rejuvenate your interest again....rather than putting a sidecar on your bike!

It'll put a bike smile on your face if nothing else! :thumb

I do know they're is a guy who was doing the Round Britain Rally who has an R1150GS with a similar sidecar attached but with leading link forks - will see if I can find his contact details for you.

I have to say that it looks pretty cool....

ya wha'?!
i know you er... like a challenge ;)
but FFS!
you wont be bored with a chair, for sure -

~as it lifts and comes up to meet you on left handers
~as the outift drifts and the rear Bike wheel tries to combat cornering forces on right handers :eek
~as you go for gaps - forgetting the chairs attached (your passenger will love you for that :green gri)

oh yeah.... that will cure boredom alright! :D

yer mad - but then we both know that. :thumb

hey - get a Guzzi instead.... :augie

I think it looks sort of OK though i'd prefer a more rugged looking sidecar for a GS, but if that's what you like, go for it:thumb2

'Outfits' are fun, not practical compared to cars or bikes but they are fun:thumb2

I've been toying with the idea, I like riding bikes but I also like going away for the weekend with the missus and dogs. The sidecar seems to tick the boxes I need ticked.

My dad used to take the family away for two week camping trips on a 600 panther outfit in the 60's, him & my mum, me and my sister and a dog, I can't ever remember being unhappy when we were away:nenau

I'd never choose a sidecar for commuting for obvious reasons but as a carthorse I'm sure it would do the job fine:thumb2

Thanks folks.

Sheps ticked boxes are the ones I want to tick.

Even got one (like this) of these already for the rear rack :D

Ogmios has got the right idea for riding "unbordemness" :D but a Guzzi :hide

Grin Rider that would be excellent if you can get the contact details.

yeah , do it wi the chair attatched:D

Tarka would implode working out whether he liked it or not. Loves sidecars ,hates 1200s:D

I use my 1200GSA for my commute to work everyday when we had snow last month, I left the GS in the garage and took my trusty 400 Dream, (well you cant drop that can you!!!) Happieness is a wet dream,
I dont think I'd want the chair on the GS though......

Snap, except for the fact I had a brother not a sister and no dog.

We did however tow a trailer carrying a 10' grp boat with a small outboard motor. All the camping gear used to go in the boat.

XXV 177, I'd love to know if it's still alive.

I use this when i want to be scared (every ride is an adventure)

Hello U-T,have you checked the dauntless motors site in U.S? they have some gsa's with ural sidecars fitted, look very tough.
I contacted him and he is willing to ship to U.K but at a price! if you are interested maybe we can crate them together and share cost.
Unit side cars in essex also do a outfit for the gs but very expensive and fiberglass so very light and not up to the job imo

you could just buy this and modify it to fit.
