I know it's the wrong Section to say how do and welcome but who cares.

You're new, here and on a bike, so I'd say what's the rush, do some research here ( sooooo much good info) and take ya time spending money like that.

Do you want an 'adventure bike' or a bike for an adventure?

If it's the latter, buy a cheap dirt bike £1k should do it and then go have an adventure.

You could go a very long way for a very long time on £5.5k...

Write a list of the things you want from a bike. Find the bikes that tick your boxes and get some test rides, look on forums to see what (if any) faults are reported. At the end of the day, it has to be your choice.
