Don't change from a Remus Race can to a standard exhaust!
My 1100 came with Remus Titanium race can + BBPower chip - great!
The standard exhaust turned up a couple of weeks ago so I thought I'd fit it and see what the difference was. Shoved it on on Tuesday night (coz I was doing a good run the next day) and changed the BBPower mapping to suit the std zorst.
I was expecting the bike to feel a bit 'flat' in comparison - nothing of the sort - and it's so flippin quiet it wasn't until the wind noise caused me to look at the speedo that I found I was going WAY too fast on the A14.
With the remus you could hear it at any speed so there was an audible speed limiter, with the std kit I can't hear it above 40mph.
380 mile round trip yesterday with 5 hrs total bum in saddle that's an average of 76mph! And I kept to the 50s on the M42/M5.
The only performance loss is at the top end. Remus allowed an indicated 135 std allows indicated 125.
So, loud cans reduce speed - perhaps they ought to be made compulsory.
