all ready for the mornin. Dig out the Wunderlich allen key for the filler plug and twist, uuummmm bit stiff, ahh there we go...
WTF

Does this happen very often?????

If you haven't managed to get it back in yet, find a socket or box spanner the correct diameter and use that to 'press' the plastic bit back in with the aid of a small hammer.


















If that fails, use a bigger hammer :rolleyes:
 
Oil Filler Plug

Mine did the same with a Motobins filler plug.

OK so you can put/push the ring back in but what's the solution to prevent it happening all the time?

It got to be such a pain that I reverted to the OE plug.

Took 5mins to sort, well 3 mins of swearing, 1 min to separate the 2 pieces and then push the black plastic thingy back in.

Like Malcomn says"what's the solution to prevent it happening all the time?"

Slowly getting fed up with B*W "they all do that" characteristics :rolleyes:
