My internet skills aren't up to much and I have been trying to find out if you can buy the pear shaped bikini fairings and clock housing as seen on a couple of 100 para's.
I currently have a full fairing and i'd like to lose it, buy I want the original ABS screen and cool clock housing...

Can anyone tell me if you can still get them retail and where?

Cheers

I wouldnt mind fitting one like that on the80. Where do I go for one?

I believe they are available, in grey primer, through Motorworks.

I scraped mine when I dropped the bike last year and made some enquiries. In the end I filled and sprayed it myself.

I don't recall the price, but it wasn't cheap.

I have had a look on the website to no avail.... I'll have a look in the book later on, but the guy on the phone didn't seem to know what I was talking about?
What's that type of fairing/fly screen called?

IIRC they are made by Acerbis and sometimes marked "HPN"
not cheap but still available.
Trippy had one on his PD and nearly had his arm ripped off when he posted it maybe for sale on here..
Migsel ended up with it :thumb2:thumb2

Edit, the HPN/Acerbis one is different but similar IYKWIM

I dont think the first one pictures is made for the GS - it is probably an adaptation of one made for some other bike.

There are a few pictures around of neat set ups , but the problem for me is that they usually require a complete installation including headlight and revised instruments/ switches/ warning lights and they are beyond my budget/technical ability - I have just had to get used to the bloody ugly heavy OEM set up.

When the bits do appear on ebay they seem to go for crazy prices, so waiting hasnt helped.

TRY BMW DEALER ?not sure on new price though

Its not a listed item on the Motorworks website, but the fellah I spoke to on the phone knew what I was talking about and said he could order one from BMW.

This was nearly a year ago and I can't remember who I spoke to.
