In car use of Navigator II

Probably a really silly question, but upon searching I couldn't see that it had already been covered.

I understand that the navigator II unit can be used in a car, but I don't understand how it issues vocal instructions. Does the unit have a built in speaker or does it need to be connected to an external speaker and, if so, what do people people use?

Lastly, how on earth do you connect the additional button attachment to the main unit? I can see that two holes on the bottom and back of the main unit line up with lugs on additional button attachment, but are the two units simply forced together or does the security screwdriver come into play?

Speaking for the 2610 which is somewhat similar, the Garmin unit comes with an in-car power lead that incorporates a speaker within the cigarette lighter end.

The Garmin also comes with a permanent stick-down in-car mount plus a temporary bean bag mount, either of which are secured to the round knurled bit on the base of the unit.

I imagine the BMW additional cradle can be attached as normal whilst the Nav II is in the car.

Thanks, I've looked at everything in the box apart from the power lead - and therefore had missed the integrated speaker!
