Can anyone recommend a set of in ear/earbud style headphones that are comfortable to wear with a helmet ?
I currently use Autocom but I like to wear ear protection too and want to kill two birds with one stone.
The Autocom with ear plugs in is not audible over 40 mph.
I only need it for sat nav instructions.

Custom moulded plugs, be it with monitors built in or simply passive plugs with filters using speakers in the helmet..

You may be lucky using generic plugs mentioned but it depends on the shape of your ear canals as to how effective they would be at keeping out the harmful ambient noise within your helmet..

There are a number of threads on here covering this topic...:thumb

I use a set of Senhieser CX500 i think they are. Excuse the spelling. These work a treat, in conjunction with this i buy the diy earplug kits off ebay for about £15 and mold them around the earbuds.

Best of both worlds for a fraction of the cost of pro custom made ear monitors and just as good. I know i used to have a pair.

If anything i would say these are more comfortable over long periods of time.

These are really well made, hard wearing and excellent value for money:

Not as good as custom moulded plugs but brilliant for under £30. Shame just to use 'em for Sat Nav.

Any photos of your plugs?

Not the best pic but you get the idea. :-)

I've tried loads, my current favourite are Klipsch S4.
They sound amazing and have just about enough attenuation to be comfortable on the bike. Not too expensive (£70 ish).

I'm planning to get some custom earbuds made.

Save yourself £130 ish and make your own. Really its dead easy. That's an extra 5 tanks of fuel at least 1000 miles. The possibilities are endless!! :)
