Independant review of Civil's boxes?

seen the civil ones panniers and think they are are a sound job
he told me about ones splitting like noddys and explained it was due to grinding the welds to make them neater. in new version the welds are on the inside so no need for grinding thus retaining full strength .

i really believe these are as strong as any box you will see on the market .

the powder coating is excellent if thats what you like . personally i would go for ally witnh clear laquer .

dii i say they are as strong as fok ?

they mount easily once the bracket is fitted . three bolts . also philip said he could sort out quick release if u need it . but y ?

if u r going down the ally road getr them off civil ,, they r certainly the cheapest and in my opinion as good as any others .

Caja Sahel boxes on the way to Estonia...

Soon you'll have review from me too.

Though, i'm not for the looks, but strangely, judging from the looks i like them the most of all designs i ever seen, from Bernd Tesch, Vern, Jesse, Därr, H&Bs, Happy Trails till Zega. Happy Trails would come close to my taste, but damn, i like those Caja Sahel "spherical" lids, original stuff. :)

Anyways, the design'n'look isn't primary for me. Let's see how they hold up my riding style and potholed roads here, their waterproofness till practicality...

Cheers, Margus :beerjug:
