Independent Service

Sold my 12GSA just under 2 years ago and have been very happy with my 1200RT but it's now due an 18000 mile service.
Vines are asking too much, quoted between £350 and £400, so I'm looking for an independent dealer/mechanic to do it.

I'm aware of Neil (Steptoe) as he serviced my old 1150 GS but he's over by Kingston and I'm looking closer to home (Gravesend).
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I use Mark Holden in Bromley (0208 464 4400). Excellent service & great value for money. Top blokes there and they know their way round all BMW bikes.

I know both Brian and Mark, I used to take all my bikes (pre-GS) to Mark when he was in Sydenham (he did almost all the bike school instructors bikes) and the Boss' bike goes to Brian (sometimes with me on it).

Both do very good work, both would be cheaper than BMW and as with St.Eptoe they all use BMW parts and work according to BMW schedules so can work on warrantied BMW bikes as well.

Also all 3 have BMW diagnostic tools.

He may be the furthest from me but St.Eptoe is where I've gone since I first encountered him in 2002 but for some Kingston is an awfully long way away

Also Mark is more convenient to get to public transport wise - Bromley South station and a 10 minute walk up the High Street.

As for you Judge , Kingston may not be far away if you're generally floating around with little to do, I however, am an extremely busy type and time is money!!
