Just picked the bike up from dealers after a service and when I put on the left indicator it would not cancel with the cancel button. I pressed the right hand indicator to try to cancel it but this didn't work. Also, it would not allow the right hand indicator to operate unless I maintained pressure on the right hand button. Drove home with my thumb on the cancel button to stop the left hand indicator from flashing. Checked all fuses - all okay. Pulled the relay for the indicators which in turn stopped the indication. Changed the relay over with another relay of the same type - still no joy. Does this mean the cancel button is at fault or has anybody got any other ideas before I start stripping the right hand indicator unit down? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Its almost certainly a faulty indicator switch if its a 1200. No fault code is logged though. Myself and a few others have had it. They eventually replaced my left hand indicator switch unit under warranty.

only a guess... try any connection blocks on the loom in case of a bad connection/contact

Quite possibly Gary after all its been in you know where for the last two days need to take the tank off to fit the new spot lights (yes they finally turned up) I have come to expect these sort of problems once it comes back from them!! are still up for monday

sorry should have said its 1150gsa

If its been for a service and you've picked it up witha fault that wasn't there BEFORE the service, why don't you take it back and get them to sort it? It seems to me that something has been damaged / altered by them, so they need to resolve it. Why should you have to strip down the bike?
Just my 5p worth. IMHO. etc etc
