Try swapping the unit connection over to the other side to see if it is faulty or the wiring.

I traced the wire back to underneath the pillion seat last night where it connects to another wire that carries on towards the front of the bike.
i tried to pull the connection apart..
was going to swap indicators over to test if its the LED unit or the wiring, however i couldnt pull them apart and didnt want to force it incase my heavy handidness caused another issue.
I will have another go after work today.
where is the earthing point on this wire?

I got home from work and swapped the indicator wires over.
It is still dim, i think the unit has gone.
So much for me thinking LED lights never needing replacing!!

On the lookout for a new one, lot of cheap copies about

Bring a known good earth to the lamp say from battery. If there’s a bad earth swapping lamps still leaves a bad earth. JJH

Update...

After them not working for nearly 2 week and not being able to find out why, i booked it in at BMW (under warranty)

As always on the day i am taking the bike in... the indicator starts working again WTF!!
Anyway, the dealer checked it, and said it is working but its a faulty unit, so we have replaced it.

So now i cant relax when turning left again :)
Thanks to Williams BMW in Manchester :thumb
