Indicators or licorice allsorts

I have a 1100GS. I must be special but every time I try and cancel the indicators whilst the bike is cranked over I affect the throttle.

I believe there is a way of changing the horn into the cancel switch and the cancel switch into the horn.

Can someone describe the process sufficiently well enough for me to understand what I need to do and be able to undertake the task without destroying anything.

How long have you been riding this fine beast of a bike, may I ask?

If it's not long, then don't worry, you'll get used to it and in a few months time, you'll feel daft for asking.......


If it's for a fair while, perhaps you should be asking yourself if you really ought to be riding a motorcycle, given that you evidently lack the basic coordination skills to use a large paddle button and a twist grip at the same time

I've had the bike for about 8 weeks, I've been using it every day for about 3.
I actually picked up the indicators really quickly, but this cancelling lark is taking a lot longer and is affecting my karma coming off roundabouts.

How about waiting until you're upright before cancelling them ....

As Fanum says it will come, follow what Bryn says and you will gradually find yourself automatically cancelling sooner while throttling on without thinking about it.
