Have just acquired a LC Rallye Sport and I was thinking about a Bagster tank cover. Motolegends seem to be the UK agent now, but it states in the detail for Bagster Tank covers that they are made to order and non-refundable; - so you could make an expensive mistake if you don't like it.

I've had Bagster's before, and like them both as fitment for a tank bag and also tank protection.

Has anybody bought a tank cover specifically for a Rallye Sport, and if so was it a good colour match and fit.

I'm thinking more about the colour match because I really like the colour of the Rallye, and a mis-matched tank cover would be an eyesore.

Been thinking of one for my GSA as well.

Bought one a month ago and fitted it to my 2016 GS TE in alpine white. Perfect colour match but a bit of a faff to fit compared to the ones I've fitted to previous (non-BMW) bikes. Not immediately obvious where the fittings attach along with the usual lack of instructions. Great now its on and personally I wouldn't be without one.

As an alternative to a full tank cover. Bagster also do a universal tank harness, to accomodate their bags. I use one on my 2017 model. They do 2 verstions of the universal tank harness. One for trial / enduro style bikes and one for sports / tourers. I have both.
The enduro / trial version works well on the GS LC tank, and has the added advantage that they can be swapped from bike to bike, rather than bike specific.
i previously bought a bike specific cover for a bike i owned previously, but never used it in the end.

My Bagster cover from my old 2014 GS LC fitted straight into the new Rallye.

Was this the same colour Alex, or a colour clash? Did the colours match?

If the colour match is not good you can seek a refund under consumer protection as it would probably be different to that described.

I used to be a big Bagster fan, using a black Alpha bag on several bikes. Like above, on my Tracer I used the universal harness which was okay. My Alpha bag is now very worn (been on bikes since 1996) so I had to decide whether to replace it. The answer was, no. For me, Bagster has got too expensive. I am now a big fan of the Tanklock system used by Givi & Kappa. I have Tanklock rings on both bikes and just swap the same Kappa bag between the two bikes. It costs about £10-14 for an additional Tanklock ring rather than £100 for a tank cover.

Really like their product - shame suppliy line keeps changing and seems hit and miss at best.

I have one on my 15 GSA - as said a bit of a faff to fit but once on quality product.

It was the Blue Fire cover and remarkably it was the same colour as the frame paint on the new Rallye. So it looks like it was made for the bike.
