Anyone to recommend?
The bike is laid up and in many pieces at the moment so it's an opportunity to have the injectors flow tested as well :D

Also (I don't really want to ask this but will anyway), has anyone sent their throttle bodies back to BMW to have the stop screws and flow factory set?.....Just curious.

I have dropped 2 sets of to a garage near me they charge 10 pound per injector worth it. Just to make sure the pattern and flow rate is correct and identical

I have a local Precision Engineering workshop who have done work for me before on diesel injectors so I'll give them a shout, just wasn't sure if there were any specific readings and fittings required to check these.

They need to flow within the specs and mostly need to be matched, equal flow rate at what ever pressures, opening times and to an extent, spray pattern, though with the induction system of a 1150GS (mine) i dont know how vital that is compared to a aircraft turbine engine.

I am sure that Google can tell you more

The local guy can only do diesel injectors so I'm still looking..

Petrol injectors won't be rebuilt , seals and filters can be replaced.
The ansu bench is used to flow and spray pattern check injectors.
They are then ultrasonic cleaned and rechecked.
I tend to look look at spray patterns and ultrasonic clean any dodgy ones.
It's not that common to have injector problems.

Check the resistance across the injector terminals, if they match then your injectors are fine. As said in post above petrol injectors arent like diesel injectors and rarely give problems or benefit from being overhauled . Only problems i see is the resistance building up causing problems

Oilheads can benefit greatly from injectors that are flow matched.

Both injectors have a reading of 015 on the multimeter so I'll just shut up and get on with it..
The 1200 injectors look to be a nice upgrade but there are other more important (and expensive) parts to deal with meantime so that will have to wait :D

I presume that if the flow was unbalanced then the bike would run like sh1t?

Something else to tick off the list.

Yes, but they're very rarely unmatched.

I know others whose experience leads them to the same conclusion. And due to the dual O2 sensor arrangement of the R1200 with its powerful BMSK, it is much less sensitive to mismatch. That said, merely cleaning my injectors once a year with Techron results in a slight (50-100 rpm) shift in idle speed.

Also, total flow for fully open clean injectors is probably pretty close, but our boxers are so touchy to fueling differences that it's worth knowing how well your injectors are matched at 2-4 mS, where difference in In/Off time can create significant differences in fuel delivered.

Further to the Boxer's left/right balance, I got a big difference in smoothness at all power levels when I wired all three coils to a relay instead of to the key switch, giving the coils a spark power boost.
