I have an epson 760 ink jet printer that I hardly ever use and haven't for about 2 years. When I last used it it was working ok apart from a few streaky bits that nozzle cleaning wouldn't solve and the cartridge low warning lights were flashing. As it hasn't been used for such a long time and I need to rattle of a few bits and pieces I am expecting the nozzles to be solid.
My questions are, are the nozzles part of the cartridges so by replacing them the printer should work ok? As I will only be printing a small amount and probably not using it again for ages, would I be able to get by by using cheaper pattern cartridges rather than Epson originals?
