I am replacing the tyres again on my 2009 F800 GS. As the bike has done 58,000 miles I am going to replace the inner tubes.

Does anyone have any ideas of good tubes? Do I need Bridgestone tubes if I am using Bridgstone Battle Wing tyres?

No mate you dont need to match inner tubes with tyres. There are several brands all pretty much the same IMHO but there are normal inner tubes and heavy duty inner tubes. some people swear by the heavy duty ones but i have done 30000 on the same normal tubes with no problems.

Why are you going for more battlewings? there are much better tyres out there for a similar price. (unless you already have them i suppose)

Conti Trail Attacks seem to have a good rep for road tyres.

Pay attention to your rim tape. If it looks like its naff replace it or just use some gaffer tape. Any appropriately sized tubes will work fine. I burned through a set on my trip and got some replacement spares from the BMW dealer in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia and they're Pirelli, They're thick buggers so they should be good. If you do go for the thicker HD tubes be careful as you mount them, especially the first time, as they can be a bugger to fit and easily pinch and puncture. At least that's what my impatient, complacent dumb ass did for my last tyre change. I like the Battlewings. Trying the Coni Trail Attacks now, haven't had any chance to try them out in good weather yet, but so far I don't think they're as good as the Bridgestones...
