In the process of getting my old man's BSA Golden Flash back on the road and its time to think about insurance. My 2002 1150GSA insurance is due for renewal in the next fortnight so I'm thinking a multibike policy is the way to go. However, Bikesure are telling me two policies may be better...

Any recommednations/experience/advise?

Thanks

heres my post in my grpup from earlier today! Well Dont ever purchase a multi bike insurance policy! Only one bike accrues the no claims bonus, so if you want to add another bike to the 3 you have already insured with them, they have you by the curlies. They wanted (Carole Nash) £400 to add my new GS to the policy, and of course without the accrued 9 years it would be high elsewhere.
With the 9 years no claims applied to the new bike a new policy elsewhere is £100!! Though by taking that 9 years the old policy (covering my existing three bikes) jumps right up with a £170 part year increase!
It seems the best option (price wise) will be to totally cancel the policy that has 6 months to run and basically start again!! Madness. better off paying a bit more possibly initially and acrrue the NCD on all the policies

You have to crunch the numbers for your situation. You will probably find it best to have separate policies, one with a NCD for the BMW and a classic policy (these don't have NCD) for the older thing.

currently getting c. £100 for the GSA and c.£200 for the BSA...

Carole Nash have offered £250 for a multi-bike policy, but it doesn't sound like a sensible option in the long run...
