Intake tube removal. Any tips?

I'm trying to remove the intake tubes on a GS1100. These suckers are in tight. I can twist them slightly when I loosen the clamps. Do you usually have to pry off the rubber seals to get them out? Or do they slide into the airbox? Just wondering how much force to use or if I need to get a bigger knockometer? Any tricks you may suggest are appreciated.

Well just sprayed some liquid wrench on the rubber rings and with a little bit more elbow grease I was able to push the tube into the air box and release the throttle body from the head. Now just to remove the head and replace the gasket.
