INTERCOM... Voyages of a clueless techno-fobe

Any lady or gentleman that can help....
I need a crash helmet earphone setup, just to plug into my standard headphone jack on the Garmin, I tried a wee modificatioin that didn't make it to Lands End... After the second breakage I thought there must be a better way, but all headsets seem to have their own 'type of jack'.
I COULD fit an intercom, but the other functionsd aren't needed!
HELP PLEASE~!

A lot of people seem to go for the combined ear plugs and built in earphones as they serve two purposes, cutting down excess noise and listening to music etc, not cheap though. Suggest you do a search on the forum.
