Interesting - 1250 much smoother with aftermarket can

This is a very interesting read and I have a lot of vibration on my 1250 GSA as well.
The vibes are mainly on the right hand side, throttle and foot peg, and especially on engine braking after closing the throttle.

I had the same issue with the vibrations before I fitted the Euro 3 cans I tried; both of them reduced, but did not completely eliminate the over-run vibes (although vibes virtually gone elsewhere).

Has anyone got the Remus Black Hawk, Arrow Maxi Race or the Leo Vince LV One Evo slip-on? These 3 are on my shortlist and I would appreciate any feedback.
I’m not interested in gaining extra HP or a mega loud exhaust, just a better “unmuffled” muffler :thumb

I have the Leo Vince fitted to mine now and am happy with it; I would have favoured a Remus (just because I've had several before) but the LV came up used at a good price and I'm happy I bought it.
The reduction in vibes is the same as I got with the (brand new) GPR, but the LV is probably a bit louder (with and without the baffles).
Not enough of a difference to say either is better than the other but, as the LV was the last to be fitted and I can't be arsed with swapping again, this is the one I'll keep (probably re-fitting the baffle).

The GPR looks a bit cheaply made and the Yoshimura looks good but too long in length. It looks out of proportion on the bike.

I'm not sure I would agree with that (although I probably would have done previously).
I happened to see some while I was on holiday in Italy and I looked long hard at them to assess the quality.
The only minor thing I didn't like is the spring clip fixing points on the can at the link pipe end but this is so minor (and unnoticeable once fitted) I bought one anyway.
The quality is perfectly fine and far outstrips the price point when compared to other more recognised brands.
I would never pay the 4x cost of an Akra again after trying the GPR for myself.

Same goes for the Giannelli - I would have been quite happy to have one of those except I'm not keen on the big logo.

I guess you pays yer money and makes your choices, but why shell out £500 plus for a used Akra when my almost new (used for 500 miles) GPR will be £200?

That SC Project one looks the business, but I can't see paying that much more (although I admit I used to do just that, same as everyone else) :blast

Thank you Steve for your detailed review.

From the pictures and YouTube clips I've seen, I'm still not too impressed with the GPR.
I'll give the Giannelli another look because Grant also recommended them highly.
The Remus sells for £500 which is reasonable and probably the one I'll go for in the end.
I agree on the SC Projects, it's a great looking exhaust but it's £700 incl delivery to the UK.

SC project wins for me, but the price puts me off

Finally got my arse into gear and took a couple of pictures, so my GRP is HERE and open to reasonable offers as always :aidan
